New Leaf Illinois is a statewide, state-funded initiative made up of 20 non-profit organizations throughout Illinois who provide free legal representation or legal information to people who want their cannabis convictions off their record. Committed to equal justice for all those who were previously arrested or convicted for cannabis use, production and sale. 

S.E.E.N. is a consortium of cannabis businesses working to create a vibrant diverse cannabis industry that serves everyone as a positive economic engine for our communities and partners.  
We remove barriers to entry, provide resources, and cultivate networking opportunities for cannabis entrepreneurs. 

Through grassroots organizing, issue advocacy, and lobbying, the Cannabis Equity IL Coalition works to elevate community voices by building power locally; Fighting to make sure the legalization of cannabis in Illinois is done to repair and reinvest in the communities most impacted by the War on Drugs, and to ensure the cannabis industry prioritizes people over profits!

In existence since 1970, the NORML Foundation sponsors public advertising campaigns to better educate the public about marijuana and alternatives to current marijuana policy; provides legal assistance and support to victims of the current laws; and undertakes relevant research.

The mission of the Cannabis Studies program at City Colleges of Chicago is to educate the future workforce, activists, thought leaders and entrepreneurs in the Illinois cannabis industry and empower individuals who have been disproportionately affected by the war on drugs through restorative justice.​​​

Oakton offers a Cannabis Certification program for cannabis enthusiast looking to learn more about the industry. This certificate (available beginning fall 2020) is designed to prepare students for employment in the transportation, logistics and supply chain management for the cannabis industry. The program can prepare transporters to apply state laws and regulations to securely transport and track cannabis between business licenses.
